2011 Tuscarora Environment
Summer Internship
The student internships are available to Tuscarora students who are one of the following:
a) entering grade 10th-12th this fall 2011,
b) undergraduate student, or
c) graduate student.
The position is for an estimated 10 weeks,
starting May 16th (college students) or June 27th (high school students).
Projects:
The following projects are the potential positions available to the student interns:
Tuscarora Community Supported Agriculture - Responsibilities include maintenance of the garden, including weeding, watering and harvesting. Prepare an introductory newsletter for all members, researching and collecting recipes and storage activities for shareholders. Person is expected to work independently, with some general knowledge of gardening.
Tuscarora Picnic Grove and Nature Trail - Responsibilities include improving and maintaining the grounds of the picnic grove, including garden beds, lawn, trees, soil, and fixing the trail in southwest corner of the grove. Other duties include preparing materials and presentations for the Tuscarora Nation Picnic & Field Days in July and setting up and maintaining waste stations for the event. Locations will be outside during all weather. Person must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Improve and maintain
